‘if you kill a man,it’s as if you’ve killed all of humanity’
Putting the murder aside, what this means to me is that we, each and every one of us is part of a whole. Whether we understand it or not.
That deep down inside, we really do feel each other.
The illusion of separation is this world’s biggest tragedy. What makes us think we’ll ‘all alone’ or that it’s ‘us against the world’?
If we are separate indeed, why do we feel pain when we see someone in pain? Our mind projects the pain but we do feel it at a deeper level.
What we need to live is the awesome reality that we are all one. Whatever you do for/to yourself, you do to all of mankind. And whatever you do to others, you do to yourself.
The love you give to others is ultimately your own love.
Wouldn’t this end wars? Who would fight themselves?
This is probably seen in your love for your family and your dear ones, you love them so because u believe they are a part of u and u a part of them. Imagine this love on a community wide scale! Or a nation wide! A nation that believes that they are a part of one another. Truly spectacular!
And possibly, someday, world wide? I believe humanity is heading that way.
